Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, born on 5th January 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko or [paDuko]) is a famous Indian movie actress. She primarily appears in films that have a predominantly Hindi accent. Padukone is among the actresses with the highest salaries in India And her awards include the three Filmfare Awards. In lists of some of America's top personalities; Time named her one of the top 100 influential people in the world in 2018 and awarded her the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone is the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. At the age of 13, Padukone competed in badminton competitions at national level. She later quit her career in the sport to pursue a new one as a fashion stylist. Padukone soon got offers for film roles, and she started her acting career in 2006 when she played the title character of the Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone was then cast in a double role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood release, a romance Om Shanti Om (2007) in which she was awarded an award called the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
