
Kate Hudson has an impressive acting ability. She is best known for her role of Penny Lane from the Hollywood movie Almost Famous. Her nomination for the Academy Award was her most well-known performance. She was born into a family of film stars her character seemed always in the limelight since her childhood. Her mother Goldie Hawn is a renowned film actor, while her father Bill Hudson is a comedian. She was passionate about performing from an early age and would jump at any opportunity to dance or sing on the stage. As a child, her parents provided dancing lessons, and she was trained at the Santa Monica Playhouse. Her first acting experience came when she was invited to play a character on the TV drama Party of Five in 1996. When she was accepted into New York University by Kate Hudson, her goal was to pursue a career in showbusiness and not earn the degree. After appearing in a couple of minor films her audition was for the role which would become one of her major roles in her career. She was chosen to play Penny Lane in the comedy-drama film Almost Famous. Despite its box-office failure it received positive reviews from critics and established Kate as an actor in the American film industry.
